it is one of the underlying causes for acne, but only one of many. scarring with certain laser treatments can be helped

cold laser can increase collagen formation and healing of damaged skin. I use one and it can heal up blemishes fast. If you would like to know how you can get an inexpensive laser…let me know.

Hey Dr. Martin, I am a 21 year old male who has suffered from acne for about 7 yrs now. As the years go on my acne seems to get more painful, I have tried everything, and still no relief. I have been told that stress plays an important role, is there any truth to that? You also mentioned that the liver may be to blame… Would you recommend using a detox supplement? acai berry supplement or anything like that? Also would taking a multivitamin be beneficial?

i agree with You, eating healthy food helps your body. My skin is much more clear since i have stopped eating pizza, french fries, refined food, coke. I also stopped eating diary products. Only vegetables, seeds and some fruits and a lot of water. You’ll see the effects in a week

Cold laser can help collagen formation and heal skin quickly. If you are interested in an affordable consumer version of a laser and directions on how to use it…email me for info.

Hello Dr. M
I’m a 17 year old girl who has been suffering of acne for 7 years. My acne started at 10 on my forehead and started spreading all over my face. As the years pass my child acne turned into cystic or what we may call adult acne. Few months ago my acne went away (I took antibiotics given by my derma). But now it’s back with vengeance. And it’s leading to scarring which makes me cry of pain and complex. Any tips on how to heal scars?
Thanks doc. P.S. I watched the vid.

If you correct the internal health imbalances, your skin should improve. I use soap and water to wash my face.
Watch the free video on my website for more info.

I’ve tried everything u get in drugstores
but nothing really helped. I drink a lot of water (water only) I do not smoke, I do a lot of sports but the acne just won’t go away.
So my question is: Should I just wash my face twice a day with water without any products and so on.
Sorry 4 my bad english

eating too much fruit with high glycemic index (high sugar content) will increase your acne problem..go to my website and watch the free video. It will answer alot of your questions and help you understand how to help yourself. Acne starts on the inside. salt on your face is not very helpful for your internal health as related to acne.

you talked about liver and that food has a lot to do with acne but i eat pretty healthy with lots of protein in my diet as im in the same situation as iversonian1. but still its the genes where my acne is coming from… but do u suggest me to take all the stuff u mentioned as tablets or just eat plenty of fruit? my brother told me that zink tabs and some water with sea salt is all u need (you mix water n salt and then put it on your face)

not the same, but both can lead to permanent scarring of your skin. you should definitely not squeeze them. I would watch the video I made to help you eliminate the underlying causes of your acne so you wont have to worry about picking or squeezing anything :0)

is “picking” same as squeezing? is it true that squuezing pimples make more pimples appear? should i completely stop squeezing them?
Thanks
iversonian1 on Sat, 7th Nov 2009 3:55 pm
awesome..thanks for that , im eager to start with the rice protein and see how it goes. also, does soy have any negative effect toward acne?

moejoe,
If you have candida (fungal) overgrowth in the intestines or digestive tract and you cut off their major food supply (dairy) the candida starts to die off. This in known as the Herxheimer reaction. As the candida dies, it releases it’s toxins and yes…make your symptoms worse temporarily. Usually a few days to a couple weeks and you should notice improvement if youre having that reaction.

I have recently taken dairy out of my diet as I am suffering from severe cystic acne and smaller stuff as well. I am a 20 year old male and have gone through a round of accutane which worked as it dried me out, but within a few months it all came back. My question regarding the dairy free diet that I’ve been trying is: Does the acne get worse before it gets better when starting a dairy free diet? And how long should it take for me to see results after taking the dairy out of my diet? thanks!

I had the same problem years ago…trying to bodybuild with protein shakes supplements. If you are like most…you are using a WHEY protein or CASEIN source which comes from DAIRY, one of the most offensive foods for someone who has an acne problem…so yes, if you are using whey. Try JAY ROBB rice protein. An awesome source of clean protein with NO added crap, preservative, additives or fake sugars. Hope that helps you as much as it did me when i stopped whey.
